Scholarship Award Process

Smt. M. K. Jayamma and Sr. B. S. R. Sastry Trust provides annual student scholarships.  The philosophy, and the process followed, guidelines for the applicants are provided here.

That which is given willingly,  without expectation of return, at the proper time and place, and to a worthy person is considered to be 'sAtvika dAna '

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS


  1. Consistently good academic record with not less than 80% Marks in their previous qualifying examination.
  2. Candidates are advised to apply on-line only and no other mode of applications shall be entertained. 
  3. Write your Name, and your parents name with initials.
  4. Provide complete address of the institution that your are presently studying along with Course, Class and Section
  5. The scholarship will be considered for the course you have already completed. So provide percentage, and the course details of the completed course. 
  6. Selected candidates are expected to be present in the Scholarship award event to be held on 12th April 2015 at Bangalore. 
  7. Travel reimbursement would be given to the student alone to come to Bangalore at basic bus/train fares.  
  8. Shortlisted Candidates will be intimated by post/e-mail/phone suitably by the trust to forward certified copies of marks sheet and other details deemed appropriate for award of scholarship.
  9. If the documents are not submitted timely, the scholarship would not be given. 
  10. Scholarship would not be given in absentia.
  11. Apply only if you think that you have a genuine need for financial assistance.



PROCESS FOLLOWED FOR SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

  1. This is merit based scholarship intended to be provided to those who have genuine need. So, no other criteria is considered.
  2. Initial selection would be made and communicated assuming correctness in the data submitted. But, the scholarship would be confirmed after due verification of documents.
  3. The Trust would not verify the genuineness of the need aspect. But any information available to the Trust would be considered to maintain high ethical standards.
  4. Eminent personalities contributing immensely to the social good would be addressing the students on the day of scholarship award. Students are encouraged to make use of this occasion.
  5. All decisions about scholarship taken by the Trust would be final.
