"Education is not meant for a luxurious lifestyle - it is for a beautiful life. Education would make our life beautiful by inculcating rationalism and eternal values. But, educated are misled by pursuing luxury and material comfort through education. A village teenager who has studied only till fourth standard, would exhibit values when he rescues those were drowning in river floods. In another example, a gold medallist in computer engineering would turn to terrorism and continues to kill people. Considering these two real life examples, need for educating values along with knowledge based education is being felt"
- Swami Veereshaananda Saraswathi of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashrama of Tumukur (as reported in Prajaavani)
"In the next five years, dramatic progress and changes will be witnessed in all walks of life including education, health and Science. Fast paced evolution of computing making machine intelligence more influential than human intelligence being the reason for these developments. But, the younger generation should not neglect eternal wisdom. Parents, teachers and elders should never be neglected. Today, the education is limited to issue certificates and not able to inculcate values. Education is going away from culture and arts"
-Swami Veereshaananda Saraswathi (as reported in VijayaKarnataka)
"In this present times, when chages are happening in a rapid pace, younger generation should not forget ancient values" -Retired supreme court Chief Justice M N Venkatachalaiah. (as reported in VijayaKarnataka)
